What load classes are used for drains in garages and parking lots?
Drains are selected according to floor traffic from class B125 to F900. Lower classes suffice for car parking, while higher classes are chosen for ramps and heavy-vehicle areas.
How to choose the correct load class for a garage or parking lot?
The decision depends on vehicle type, weight and installation location. Passenger-car zones differ from driveways or maneuvering areas. The proper class B125-F900 ensures the grate and channel will not deform under load.
What stainless steel grade do you use for garage and parking drains?
Standard grade is V2A (1.4301 / AISI 304). Where road salt or aggressive chemicals are present we use V4A (1.4404 / AISI 316L) with molybdenum, offering far higher resistance to chlorides and salt.
