Slotted Channels

Slotted channels made of stainless steel are hygienic drainage systems designed for facilities with high sanitary requirements. The minimalist design without traditional grates meets stringent standards for the food, pharmaceutical, and technological industries.

Technical Data:

Material Thickness: 1.5 mm or 2.0 mm

Stainless Steel Options: V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4571)

Included: mounting feet, anchoring bars for concrete

7 Bending Types Available

Optional:

  • flange or perforated sheet flange
  • epoxy resin with quartz sand as edge filling
  • priming the channel body with epoxy resin and quartz sand

Slotted Channels: Industrial Applications

Slotted channels are used in:

  • food industry – dairies, breweries, food processing plants
  • pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries
  • washing and disinfection zones
  • technological rooms and production halls

These systems perform best in areas with moderate liquid flow, such as process lines or washing zones. For areas with high water flow, integration with box drains or hybrid systems is recommended.

Hygienic Drainage for Clean Zones

The slotted system is ideal wherever hygiene control and minimizing contamination are critical. Water and production liquids are directed into the system through a narrow slot in the floor, ensuring precise liquid drainage while maintaining the highest sanitary standards. The absence of grates and smooth internal surfaces minimizes dirt accumulation and microbial growth.

Usage Benefits:

  • shorter cleaning and disinfection times
  • reduced technological deposits
  • lower maintenance costs

Materials and Chemical Resistance

B&K GROUP systems are made of stainless steel V2A (1.4301) or V4A (1.4571), ensuring resistance to detergents, chemicals, moisture, and heavy use. These materials allow safe application in environments with elevated hygiene requirements.

Slot Variants and Configuration

Available inlet slot variants include 20 mm for production halls and industrial facilities, and 8 mm for swimming pools and public spaces. The system can be of any length and equipped with corners, connectors, and custom-fit elements. Slotted channels can be integrated with other B&K GROUP infrastructure elements, such as industrial floor drains (German: Bodenablauf) or box drainage systems, while maintaining functionality in hygienic zones.

Adaptation to Industrial Floors

Slotted systems can be installed in concrete, resin, or industrial tile floors, achieving a uniform, aesthetic, and functional working surface for both new constructions and renovations of existing facilities.

Slotted Channels vs. Traditional Drainage

Unlike traditional systems with grates, slotted channels:

  • reduce areas for dirt accumulation
  • facilitate hygiene maintenance
  • focus on precise liquid drainage in clean zones

Traditional linear drainage systems handle larger flows in technical areas, while slotted systems ensure control over the work environment and hygiene.

B&K GROUP Slotted Channels are durable, chemically resistant, and hygienic linear drainage solutions. They offer flexible configuration, integration with other system components, and adaptability to various floor types. An ideal solution for the food, pharmaceutical, and technological industries, combining functionality with aesthetics and the highest sanitary standards.
