Stadiums and Sports Fields

Sports facilities require efficient water removal from stands, entrances and playing fields. B&K GROUP supplies high-capacity channels resistant to heavy traffic and weather changes. Stainless steel ensures long service life, while grate design guarantees user safety. Systems integrate with synthetic, grass and concrete surfaces.

Frequently asked questions

Which linear drains work best in stadiums and on sports fields?

Slot channels made of stainless steel with a narrow 8–20 mm slot perform well. They discreetly drain water from tracks and surfaces, remain hygienic and easy to maintain. Part of our drainage systems sized for required flow rates.

What load class is needed around pitches and stands?

Load class is selected according to traffic – from light B125 in pedestrian zones to heavy-duty classes in service roads up to F900. This prevents deformation of the grate and channel under load.

Which stainless steel grades do you use for sports facilities?

V2A (1.4301 / AISI 304) is standard. Where de-icing salt, chlorine or aggressive cleaners are present we use V4A (1.4404 / AISI 316L) with molybdenum for superior pitting and salt resistance.

Are linear drains difficult to clean in stadiums?

No. Smooth stainless steel surfaces are easy to clean and resist dirt build-up and bacteria. Slot channels limit leaf and sand ingress, simplifying pitch maintenance.

How do you fabricate and join drainage channels?

Channels and floor drains are fabricated from stainless steel using TIG/MIG welding for tight, durable joints. Each batch can be supplied with 3.1 mill certificate acc. EN 10204 confirming steel composition.

Can drains be adapted to a specific pitch layout?

Yes. As a manufacturer we design complete stainless steel drainage systems matched to flow rate, surface type and load class – from linear channels to point floor drains.
