Why do you recommend V4A stainless steel instead of V2A for pool drains?
Pool water contains chlorine that causes pitting corrosion in standard V2A (1.4301 / AISI 304). Therefore we use V4A (1.4404 / AISI 316L) with molybdenum addition in wet zones — far more resistant to chlorine, salts and acids, ensuring long-term durability of the floor drain.
What is the difference between V2A and V4A stainless steel for poolside drains?
V2A (1.4301 / AISI 304) performs well in typical dry areas. V4A (1.4404 / AISI 316L) contains molybdenum, increasing resistance to chlorine, salt and acids. Around pools — basins, decks, showers — we select V4A as the safer long-term solution.
Which drainage elements are used in indoor pool halls?
We combine linear and point drainage. On pool decks and in shower zones, slot channel drains with 8–20 mm gaps are discreet and hygienic. Where point drainage is required, we supply stainless steel floor drains (Bodenablauf) in the appropriate load class, all in V4A.
Are pool drainage systems safe for public facilities?
Yes. Smooth stainless steel surfaces are easy to clean and do not promote bacterial growth. We hold PZH approval and EHEDG membership; our solutions support HACCP requirements. Every batch can be supplied with 3.1 material certificate acc. EN 10204.
Which load class should be chosen for the pool surround?
It depends on floor traffic. Pedestrian zones require only light class (B125), while areas with heavier service traffic need classes up to F900. We match the drain load class and compatible floor drains (Ablauf) to the project specifications.
Can V4A drains be integrated with resin floors in pool halls?
Yes. V4A stainless steel drains are installed with resin floors — epoxy and polyurethane-cement Ucrete rated up to 120 °C. Elements are joined by TIG/MIG welding, creating tight, hygienic connections between channel and floor in chlorinated wet environments.
